For Suvarnabhumi Airport luggage storage, choose the counter around your collection route, then compare prices for your actual bags. Bellugg has public-arrivals and departures counters; AIRPORTELs operates by the Airport Rail Link. Both publish round-the-clock airport service. The cheapest headline is not necessarily the easiest choice when your return flight leaves soon after collection. [1][2]
Choose the right floor, not just a familiar brand
Bellugg is listed by Airports of Thailand on the second floor near Gate 4 and the Tourist Police, and on the fourth floor at check-in rows P/Q. The airport marks both as public-area services operating 24 hours. [1]
That gives arriving and departing passengers different practical choices. On arrival, identify where you will return before leaving a suitcase. For a late departure, a departures-floor counter can reduce the amount of backtracking after collection.
AIRPORTELs lists its Suvarnabhumi counter on Floor B by the Airport Rail Link, also operating 24 hours. This is a useful arrangement when your journey into Bangkok already starts at the railway level. [2]
Do not confuse Suvarnabhumi, airport code BKK, with Don Mueang, DMK. A booking at one is not a booking at the other. When comparing services online, check the airport name on the confirmation rather than relying on a page headed "Bangkok airport."
The public-area designation also matters for international connections. An airside transit passenger cannot assume these counters are available without completing the procedures necessary to enter Thailand. A storage booking does not itself give permission to leave transit.
Compare the current prices by bag and time
Bellugg's current airport listing charges THB150 for small, THB180 for medium, and THB200 for larger luggage, per piece per 24 hours. The published small dimensions are 35 × 56 × 22 centimetres; medium is 45 × 65 × 28 centimetres. [1]
AIRPORTELs' terms list THB100 per 24 hours for normal luggage at Suvarnabhumi, with THB200 for oversized items. A partial additional 24-hour period is rounded up. Its city-counter tariff is different, so do not apply an airport price to a mall booking. [2]
For two bags accepted as normal luggage, an eight-hour AIRPORTELs stay therefore calculates to THB200. Two bags falling into Bellugg's medium category calculate to THB360 for the same period. This comparison depends on acceptance in those categories; it does not establish the cheapest price for every object or booking channel.
For a 25-hour stay, the extra hour matters. At a THB100-per-24-hour rate with upward rounding, two normal bags would cost THB400, not THB200. Ask the attendant to confirm the planned retrieval time on the booking so that an overnight stay is not misunderstood.
Older search results can show cheaper Bellugg prices. The airport still hosts a 2021 promotional page with an earlier schedule. The current facility listing is the relevant reference for this comparison, not an old promotion that happens to remain indexed. [3][1]
A third counter option, and what still needs confirming
SmileLugg advertises luggage storage at THB100, with its storage booking restricted to Suvarnabhumi; its site explicitly says the Don Mueang storage service has not opened. Its delivery information describes storage charging per piece per day. [4][5]
That makes it another option to price, but do not infer every operational detail from the headline. Confirm the precise counter location, hours for your retrieval date and treatment of a partial extra day through the booking channel. The operator's general service page does not provide enough detail to turn these into unconditional promises.
For an ordinary suitcase, compare the final confirmed price with the other counters. For a bicycle, instrument, boxed purchase or other awkward item, send dimensions and a description first. "One piece" can mean different handling requirements from one conventional suitcase.
It is sensible to have a fallback counter in mind rather than paying for a complicated detour to save a small amount. A storage desk is useful only if it accepts the item, can produce a clear receipt and allows collection at the time you need.
Make the receipt and return route part of the plan
Bellugg states that a deposit receipt is issued as proof of storage. AIRPORTELs requires identification and asks customers to retain the documentation needed for collection. Keep those documents accessible, rather than putting them inside the bag being stored. [1][2]
Photograph the receipt and the counter, including the floor or nearby landmark. Record how many pieces were accepted. For a family travelling separately later, ask whether someone other than the person named on the booking can collect; do not assume a photograph of the receipt will be sufficient authorisation.
Remove passports, travel documents, essential medication and items needed during your outing. Keep a small day bag ready before joining the counter queue. Repacking on the floor while everyone else waits is avoidable.
Work backwards from your airline's bag-drop deadline, not just the flight departure. Allow time for the train or road journey, retrieval, any necessary terminal walking and check-in. A 24-hour counter solves a closing-time problem; it does not remove the risk of arriving at the airport too late.
When the return time is uncertain, ask in advance how an extra day is paid and what happens if your flight changes. A short written explanation is more useful than an assumption based on the word "daily."
When a city counter or delivery is better
Airport storage is strongest when your outing begins and ends at BKK. It is less attractive if you are moving to a Bangkok hotel and will leave Thailand through a different airport. In that case, you may be creating an unnecessary return journey to retrieve your belongings.
A city counter works best when it sits on your final sightseeing route. Check its actual closing time: the fact that an operator's airport branch is open all night says nothing about a mall branch.
Delivery is a separate purchase. SmileLugg advertises Bangkok same-day delivery from THB299, but the route, cutoff and receiving arrangements must be confirmed for the booking. Do not interpret storage's daily charge as including hotel delivery. [5]
Before sending bags ahead, obtain the hotel's agreement to receive them and keep anything needed before delivery in your day bag. For a short layover, the uncomplicated option is often better: deposit, explore one manageable area, return to the same counter and collect well before check-in closes.
