Compare SEO agencies in Bangkok by the customers, languages and business outcomes they can help you reach, not by a self-awarded "best agency" label. Start with a small shortlist, give each firm the same brief and request a practical diagnosis. A useful proposal explains what will change on your website, who will do it and how success will be measured.

Three firms worth investigating for different scopes are Primal, Move Ahead Media and Asia Media Studio. Their own websites establish relevant services and Bangkok operations; they do not independently establish which agency will perform best for your business. 123

Choose the type of help before choosing the name

Primal presents SEO alongside paid media, conversion optimisation and content services. I would include it in a comparison when organic search needs to be coordinated with a broader acquisition programme, while requesting a separately costed SEO scope. Its service descriptions are the firm's claims, not a guarantee of future results. 1

Move Ahead Media lists SEO, local search, Google Business Profile work, advertising and website services, with a Bangkok office in the BB Building on Sukhumvit 21. It is a relevant enquiry when local visibility and website enquiries both matter. Ask which team would handle your account and which activities are actually included in the quoted package. 2

Asia Media Studio combines SEO with branding, website design and development from its Bangkok base. That makes it worth considering when the website itself needs substantial work rather than only an ongoing content programme. A portfolio demonstrating design ability should still be followed by evidence relevant to search performance. 3

These are different buying situations. A company rebuilding a multilingual booking website needs a different assignment from a local business with a working website and weak enquiry tracking. Do not invite agencies to price an undefined mix of everything and then compare the monthly totals as though they cover identical work.

Define the Thai and English customer journeys separately

Write a short brief explaining who buys, what they buy and how the sale is completed. For example, an accommodation business might need Thai enquiries for weekend stays and English bookings from international travellers. Those are useful planning hypotheses to test, not a reason to translate every page mechanically.

Ask the agency to show a small sample of proposed search topics in each relevant language. Have someone competent in that language assess whether the wording and intent make sense. A fluent sales presentation in English does not demonstrate who will research, write and review Thai content.

Google recommends separate URLs for different language versions and explains how language annotations can help it identify appropriate alternatives. Ask the agency to show the proposed page relationships and the implementation responsibility, rather than accepting "multilingual SEO" as an unexplained line item. 4

Do not commission a hundred pages before agreeing on the first few. Review a representative service page, a comparison page and an informational article. Each should serve a distinct customer decision. Where two proposed pages answer the same question, ask why both are needed.

Measure an enquiry beyond the button click

Consider a business whose website directs customers to a phone number or messaging service. The agency might count those clicks, but your commercial question is whether they become useful enquiries and sales. Agree how the business will supply the missing outcome information.

A reporting example can make this concrete. Suppose two pages each produce 100 contact clicks. One leads to ten qualified requests and the other to thirty. The equal click totals do not establish equal business value. These are illustrative figures, but the distinction should shape the reporting discussion.

Ask for separate views of branded searches, broader discovery searches and the relevant language groups. A surge in people searching an already promoted company name should not be presented without context as proof that new customers are discovering it through generic queries.

Make the first reporting baseline part of the assignment. Document the measurement setup, known gaps and any recent site changes. Otherwise, improvements in tracking may be confused with improvements in demand. An honest baseline with limitations is more useful than a precise-looking chart built on incompatible data.

Make case studies answer your questions

When an agency presents a successful project, ask what changed and what else was happening. Was the site rebuilt? Did the client launch a new product? Were advertising campaigns, offline publicity or seasonal demand also involved? A rising graph deserves an explanation, not automatic attribution.

Seek examples with comparable constraints: languages, website platform, approval process and customer journey. A large international retailer's result may show experience, but it does not automatically predict the outcome for a small Bangkok service business.

Request a description of the work, its timing and the metric being reported. Where confidentiality prevents detailed disclosure, ask for an anonymised explanation or a reference the client has authorised. Do not demand private customer data as proof.

Google's hiring guidance warns that nobody can guarantee first place in its results and distinguishes paid advertising from organic placement. Treat an absolute ranking guarantee or a claim of privileged access to organic rankings as a reason to investigate further, not an advantage. 5

Compare the work that is included, not just the retainer

Separate research, writing, technical implementation, translation review and reporting. Ask whether developers' time is included, who uploads approved content, and who checks the live result. A report identifying errors is not the same deliverable as fixing and testing them.

Request the quotation in a stated currency and ask whether applicable taxes and external costs are included. Where the proposal uses a monthly amount, establish the minimum commitment and what happens to unfinished work if the contract ends. These are commercial questions to resolve in writing, not assumptions about standard agency terms.

Clarify ownership and access. Your business should know which accounts, domains, documents and website assets it controls. Give staff and suppliers appropriate individual access rather than sharing a single password, and agree on the handover process before it becomes urgent.

Link-building needs its own explanation. Ask how placements are selected, whether payments are involved and how they are disclosed. Google's spam policies identify manipulative link practices and scaled content abuse; a promise of large volumes is not, by itself, evidence of useful work. 6

Use a bounded first assignment to test the relationship

My preferred starting point is a diagnostic and a small implementation plan with acceptance criteria. Ask for a prioritised list of issues, the evidence behind them, estimated effort and the person responsible for each next step.

The first content deliverable should demonstrate the agency's research and editing, not merely repeat your existing sales page. The first technical change should have a clear before-and-after test. The first report should distinguish completed work from proposed work and measured outcomes from forecasts.

Choose the team that explains trade-offs clearly and is willing to narrow the assignment to what matters. A local office can make collaboration easier, but the stronger decision rests on relevant evidence, accountable delivery and a commercial arrangement you understand. That is a more defensible basis for choosing a Bangkok SEO agency than a league table assembled from marketing claims.
