Halloween in Bangkok is easiest to enjoy through a specific venue booking, not an assumption that every street becomes a family festival. For 2026, Halloween falls on Saturday, 31 October, with activities spread across the surrounding weekend. Choose separately between children's daytime events, shopping-centre displays and adult nightlife; their prices, age rules and crowd conditions are different. [1][2][3]
Pick the kind of Halloween you actually want
A craft session with a short trick-or-treat trail suits a very different visitor from an all-night music event. Start with the people in your group: a preschooler's tolerance for masks, a teenager's interest in costumes, or adults' preference for a particular music style.
Then choose one district and one main activity. Booking an event at the opposite end of the city after dinner creates a deadline that does not improve the evening. A venue with a clear start time, stated admission rules and a realistic route home is more useful than a long list of parties.
The options below are checked for 28 October 2026. A listing that says "Halloween" without a year, or a photograph from an earlier edition, should not be treated as confirmation for this weekend.
For younger children: Wild Spooky Rumpus
TheCOMMONS Thonglor lists Wild Spooky Rumpus on 31 October and 1 November, 10:00–17:00. The programme includes trick-or-treat trains, crafts, face painting, a small monster hunt, a family market and free spooky storytime. The venue specifically warns that train places are limited. [1]
This is the strongest fit among these choices for a family seeking a contained daytime event rather than a nightclub or intense haunted house. The market setting also allows a parent to pause the activities instead of committing a tired child to a long immersive session.
Do not read "free storytime" as "every activity is free." The venue directs visitors to ticket booking through Little Pea or its LINE channel. Confirm the price and contents of the activity pass you are considering, including any accompanying-adult arrangements. [1]
Choose the session your child most wants to do and book around it. If the train is the main attraction, arrive with its confirmed instructions rather than assuming you can join any departure. Keep a backup plan that does not depend on that limited-capacity activity.
Costumes should still work as ordinary walking clothes. Avoid long trailing fabric and props that are difficult to carry through a crowded venue. A removable mask is easier to manage than an outfit that obstructs a child's vision for the whole afternoon.
For a flexible stop: CentralWorld's Halloween displays
CentralWorld's own listing gives 20–31 October 2026 for The Halloween World: Spooky Boo & Friends. The broader Central Pattana campaign runs across multiple shopping centres, but a nationwide programme should not be mistaken for a single Bangkok venue's timetable. [2][4]
Choose CentralWorld when you want seasonal atmosphere without organising the whole day around a ticketed horror attraction. A display visit can sit alongside a meal or shopping you already planned, rather than requiring a separate long-distance outing.
Check the particular activity before promising it to children. A photograph opportunity, artist appearance, parade and ticketed show can all appear under the same campaign branding while having different times or access conditions. The general event dates do not confirm an individual performance every day.
This distinction also matters when comparing online guides. A list of "13 haunted houses" can include branches well outside Bangkok. Find the named shopping centre and its own announcement before deciding how to get there. [4]
For a quieter experience, favour an earlier visit and make the evening optional. If a crowd forms around a stage, do not push towards the front simply because the event is described as free. Decide on a meeting point away from the busiest entrance in case your group separates.
For adults: The House of Horror at The House on Sathorn
Mustache's own event page confirms The House of Horror 4 on Friday, 30 October, 18:00–01:00, at The House on Sathorn beside W Bangkok. Its published policy is 20 and over, with a physical government-issued ID required; a phone photograph is not accepted. [3]
This is an adult music event, not a family haunted-house attraction. The promoter describes house, techno and related dance music, and includes entry to a separate Mustache after-party with the event ticket. [3]
The organiser's detailed Halloween page shows the THB500 first release as sold out, then THB700 and THB900 releases, with THB1,200 at the door if capacity remains. It also states that a card-processing fee is added at checkout. A search result displaying "from THB500" therefore does not establish a ticket you can still buy. [5]
For two people, a pair of THB700 tickets would be THB1,400 before the stated processing fee. At a THB900 release the same pair would be THB1,800. These are simple comparisons, not a promise that either tier will remain available when you purchase.
There is a material discrepancy in third-party listings: one event directory labels the minimum age as 18+, while the organiser and ticketing information specify 20+. Follow the organiser's stricter entry requirement rather than risking refusal at the door. [3][6]
Read transfer and refund conditions before paying. If your plans are uncertain, a non-refundable ticket may be a poor choice even when it costs less than door admission. Do not rely on obtaining a table, drinks package or reserved seat unless that is explicitly part of the product.
Street festivals and horror attractions need their own checks
Local reporting also lists Siam Halloween at Siam Square from 30 October to 1 November. It describes free public activity areas, but separate access arrangements can apply to concert zones and promotions. Do not purchase an unofficial wristband simply because someone says it is necessary to enter the entire district. [7]
For an independent traveller, the practical approach is to consult the named organiser's current programme for the specific performance you want. A free festival can still have queues, capacity controls and restricted areas. "Free" describes a price, not guaranteed access to the front of a stage.
Similarly, check the minimum age and intensity of any haunted-house attraction. A mall address does not make a scare experience suitable for small children. Ask about dark passages, live actors, loud sound and whether participants can leave early.
Make the return journey part of the booking
Decide how you will get home before entering a late-night venue. Do not assume public transport will operate until a party ends, and keep enough battery and payment capacity for your chosen alternative.
Store the venue's exact name and address. The House on Sathorn and the Mustache after-party are not the same destination, even when one ticket links the experiences. Confirm the next venue before leaving rather than following a crowd without a route.
For families, finish while the outing is still enjoyable. For adults, buy from the organiser or its linked ticket seller and carry the required identification. In both cases, a specific, well-matched event is a better plan than chasing the largest number of Halloween listings in one evening.
